United Nations Environment Programme Accreditation

We are so pleased to announce that Reimagine Agriculture has been successfully accredited to the United Nations Environment Assembly of the UNEP - United Nations Environment Programme.

This status provides REAG with observer status to the assembly and its related bodies. This includes participating in regional consultation meetings, contribution to regional civil society statements, submitting written contributions to unedited working documents and to participate in the public Meetings of the Committee of Permanent Representatives, the Assembly and the Global Major Groups and Stakeholders Forum, an associated meeting of the UN Environment Assembly.

During the environmental assembly, we will be able to attend the plenary sessions of the Committee of the Whole and the Ministerial Consultations as observers and to exchange views and interact with Governments present, circulate written statements to Governments in the form of information documents through the UNEP secretariat, and to make oral statements during the discussions of the United Nations Environmental Assembly of UNEP.

This role will allow us to further transform the food system at all scales. The consequences of our dietary choices transcend personal effects and shape the global community in which we live. The more we can collaborate, spread evidence and invite new and different conversations with those from a variety of perspectives, the more we can facilitate a future that will be better for everyone.
